Privacy Policy

FocusMod is a study product for students. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle account, billing, and uploaded study material.

Information we collect

We collect account information such as your name, email address, authentication provider, and basic profile details when you create or use a FocusMod account.

We process study material you upload or paste into the product, including documents, notes, prompts, transcripts, and generated outputs.

For paid plans, payment details are handled by Stripe. FocusMod receives subscription, customer, invoice, and plan status information from Stripe but does not store full card numbers.

How we use information

We use your information to provide study tools, authenticate your account, process subscriptions, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.

Uploaded study material is used to generate the outputs you request and to support your in-app workflows.

Service providers

FocusMod uses third-party providers for hosting, authentication, analytics, payment processing, and AI processing. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to FocusMod.

Current provider categories include Hetzner for hosting, Cloudflare for DNS and edge security, Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payments, and Google Analytics/Search Console for site measurement.

Retention and deletion

We keep account, subscription, and operational records as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security.

You may request deletion of your account data by contacting support. Some billing records may need to be retained for legal and accounting reasons.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data, including HTTPS, access controls, and provider-side security controls.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid uploading material that you are not allowed to process in a third-party AI tool.
